My friendship with Marc started purely as a professional relationship and evolved from there. We worked together, closely, on a number of things and I spent a lot of time with him, working up and down the East Coast.
Our friendship developed out of a common love for flying. We both flew gliders as younger men. We also both had a passion for sports, for bourbon, whisky and for gin and we bonded over many nights discussing work, sports, women…we had great fun.
He showed me New York like I’d never seen it before. He introduced me to baseball and helped me understand the joy or this great American pastime. He educated me.
He was my friend and I will miss him terribly.

The happy memories come pouring in when I think about my great friendship with Marc.
The baseball games together at Shea and old Yankee stadium. Cow-bell man, Frank and the regular season crew along the first base line. Those were great memories!
The late nights on the Upper East Side, and even later night diner visits after the bars had closed.
All the inside jokes and subtle references to friends or good hearted jabs at buddies which kept us laughing.
The love of history and McGraw’s Giants. I always loved him getting so excited over 1950s newsreels about the Giants. He had all the DVDs and we’d watch them at his apartment. What a shrine to baseball that was.
Im remember the movie references and quotes from Mel Brooks, Animal House, Hunt for Red October and so many more! We were in stitches for hours.
The dinners and club events we attended together. Marc was a founder of the Goose Eaters Club and a stalwart member attending our last luncheon on New Year’s Eve.
The parties he organized - the big birthday bash at Bills 90s stands out! What a night!
The way he would visit us in the suburbs and took to Heather and our boys. We had hoped he would move to Fairfield County so we could see him more often.
I just wish we could have watched Blazing Saddles together one more time over a few beers.
Going to miss you buddy. . .
Our loss is heavens gain.
Hope you’re rounding third with the old timers at the big Polo Grounds in the sky! ⚾️
I’ll hoist one for you friend. God bless.
