Dear Rose, Curt, Marc and the Sienkiewicz family Cindy and I are so sorry to learn about the passing of Richard and offer our deepest sympathies. I know that this is a difficult period but hope that you can all find peace in having had the chance to spend time with him in his final days. I'm sure you all have so many wonderful memories which you'll treasure forever. Sad to say, its been many years since I had the opportunity to speak with Richard but I do hold fond memories of him from my childhood. I still remember him teaching me about baseball when I was a 9 year old and passing on to me his 1961 Sporting News Baseball Register (which I still have). From that experience, I learned about the great Ted Williams and ultimately turn into a devout Red Sox fan. An odd move for a kid who lived 35 miles from New York. There were also those days we spent as a family on 22 Crockett Street playing Lawn Jarts and enjoying Holiday gatherings. He had a quick wit and keen sense of humor and as a kid was more like a brother than a brother in law to me. He was clearly an inspiration, enduring a constant host of medical problems that would restrict him from certain activities, although he still found a way to participate. I also credit him with giving me my first insight into the world of business which at some level influenced my decisions to pursue that as a career. Clearly, he touched all of us in many ways and I'm glad my lovely sister brought him into our family. His real legacy, and gift to all of us was in helping bring two wonderful boys into this world and for that I am forever grateful. Please know that our prayers are with you.
