Just learned of David's passing...it was an honor and pleasure to be with your family twice to film David with the family he loved so much and then with his brothers. I know the participation of the family made David feel loved I will always remember how he would look at me, nod his head and smile as you all shared your stories and love for him. What a good man, loving husband and wonderful father. I hope his LifeChronicles video brings your family comfort and, as time goes by, a smile to your faces. I have no doubt that is why David did it.

I am an old college friend of David's. As you can imagine, I gained so much from knowing him: his zest for life, his knowing that the "steak is more important than the sizzle" (his words), and his ability to work hard and play hard--it was impossible to not have fun when David was around. His success in life was certain--I knew it even back then. Fortunately, I got back in touch with him through email in August after learning of his diagnosis, and I was able to learn all about your beautiful family. While the thought of your loss is absolutely heart-breaking, the thought of how much "life" he packed into 43 years makes me smile. I believe that is part of his legacy: thinking of David simply makes people smile.
