Obituary of Ashley M. Coutermash

Ashley M. Coutermash, born April 12, 1979, a long time New Canaan resident passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2015. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Mackenzie Jade Skopp; parents Charlene M. and Edward A. Coutermash of Jensen Beach, FL; and a brother Craig E. Coutermash of Huntington, NY, all former longtime residents of New Canaan, CT. She is also survived by her grandmother Barbara E. Mansfield, several aunts, uncles and cousins. After graduating from New Canaan High School in 1997, she obtained her beautician license and then her certification in early childhood development, most recently having taught pre-school at the New Canaan YMCA where she was affectionately known as Miss Ashley. Her creative, inquisitive, fun loving, artistic and natural talents brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Memorial donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) located at 3803 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203 (1-888-999-6264). Floral tributes are being coordinated by Adam of Flower and Flowers of Darien, CT, 203-662-9666.
