Obituary of Malcolm H. Brown

Darien resident, Malcolm H. Brown, lost his three year battle to pancreatic cancer on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at home. He was 59 years old. Born April 2, 1953, Brookeborough, Northern Ireland, he was a son of the late William and Iris Brown. Mr. Brown came to the United States in 1956. He was a graduate of Darien High School and was the owner of M. H. Brown Landscaping Services for 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a great love of hunting, fishing and boating. He was a member of the Darien Boat Club, a former member of the Darien Lions Club and Darien Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Dale Brown and three children: Jenifer Brown of Charleston, SC; Matthew Brown; and Todd Latham and his wife Debbie of all of Darien. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Michael and Sarah Latham. Also surviving are two brothers, William Brown and his wife Mary; and David Brown and his wife Cathy; and nephews, Andrew, Christopher, Timothy, Austin and Ryan; and predeceased by Jonathan Brown. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Noroton Presbyterian Church, 2011 Post Road, Darien.
