Obituary of James M. Glenn

James M. Glenn, a resident of Norwalk for over 50 years, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Norwalk Hospital. Born on January 30, 1922 in Bound Brook, NJ, he was the son of the late Harriett Day and Emmett Grattan Glenn. He was 89. James graduated from Pratt Institute and was a retired Quality Control Engineer for Hoffrel Instruments. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Lifetime Learners Institute at Norwalk Community College and had a great love of cooking. He is survived by a daughter, Holly L. Glenn of Norwalk and a son Gary S. Glenn of Philadelphia, PA. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth Delyanas Glenn and three brothers and two sisters. A private interment will be held at St. John Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lifetime Learners Institute at Norwalk Community College, West Campus room W102, 188 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854.
