Obituary of Kathryn W. Makowsky

Kathryn W. Makowsky, a long time resident of Stamford passed away July 22, 2011. She was born in New Rochelle to the late Charles Walker and Rose McBride Walker. She was 89. Kathryn retired as a Sales Manager after 35 years with Pitney Bowes. She was a member of St John R.C. Church in Darien and was also a member of the Pitney Bowes Oval Club. Kathryn is survived by one sister June L. Garvey and her husband Ronald of Mamaroneck, several nieces and nephews and one close friend Patricia Brown of Stamford. She was pre-deceased by her husband Louis A. Makowsky, six brothers and three sisters. Calling hours will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien, CT on July 25, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St John R.C. Church in Darien on July 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Westport.
