Obituary of Richard T. Ross

Richard T. Ross, who was raised and a former long-time resident of Darien and a current resident of Killingworth, CT, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT. Born on January 7, 1957 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Andre (Somers) and Thomas J. Ross, Jr. He was 57. Richard graduated from St. Leo's College in Florida and received a certificate in horticulture from the New York Botanical Garden. He was a long-time self-employed landscape designer. He is survived by his wife, Kyung Janam; a son, Charles Ross and a daughter, Jennifer Ross. He is also survived by two sisters, Stephanie R. Williams and Joan R. Urrata; and three brothers, Thomas J. Ross, III, Andrew S. Ross and Peter L. Ross. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Andre R. Kiely. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM with a burial to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
