Linda & Family I was saddened this afternoon reading of Fred's passing in today's paper. I met Fred at Basic training at Fort Bragg in the late spring of 1967. I knew of Fred's humor. and later when we were both in the ARMY National Guard at Fort Lee Virginia, Fred & a fellow soldier, Youngblood from Texas went on & on with Jokes. If they weren't telling jokes they were identifying the songs on the Flip side of records. In recent years I frequently saw Fred at the Stop & Shop in Noroton Heights. What a loss to those of us who knew him!. Gods Speed all the best Jim & Marion friend

Our deepest sympathies to the Santarella family. We will miss Mr. Santarella coming to pick up food for his family at our restaurant. He and his daughter were truly nice people. They have joined each other in heaven. While it is difficult to understand, Linda and Daniel know that you have two angels watching over you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. My deepest sympathy to Daniel Santarella, his mother Linda Santarella, and the entire family. Mr. Fred Santarella was a wonderful man who was an excellent baseball coach and father. I have many fond memories growing up in Darien and knowing Mr. Santarella. He had a tremendous sense of humor that always lightened the room. May God be with the family during this time and always. My prayers are with you.
