Audrey Murray passed away peacefully at Norwalk Hospital on June 27, 2017. Born in New York City on April 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Francis B. and Audrey P. Murray. Audrey lived more than 75 years in Pelham, NY before moving to Darien, CT to be closer to family. She graduated from Pelham High School and Briarcliff College. Audrey worked for many years in the retail business and also volunteered at the New Rochelle Hospital. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling, golf, and tennis. Audrey loved the theater and the New York City Ballet. She is survived by her brother, Tony, of Darien, CT, his wife, Caroline, seven nieces and nephews, and seventeen grandnieces and nephews. Audreys friends and family will lovingly remember her kindness, generosity, and concern for others less fortunate. She displayed great courage throughout her long battle with a debilitating illness. Audreys family is grateful for the wonderful care she received for many years from her devoted aide, Betty Ofori.
