Obituary of Ann Marie Zeller
Please share a memory of Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ann Marie Zeller passed away on July 20th in Stamford, Connecticut surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her two adoring daughters Shaela Zeller Greenfield and Kinsey Zeller Greenfield, her elder sister Nancy Zeller and her husband Richard McCarron, her younger sister Jane Zeller and her husband John Townson, and her loving fan club of nine nieces and nephews.
Ann was born in New York City on February, 26th 1954 to Fred E. Zeller and Phyllis Bridge Zeller. She raised her family in Norwalk, CT and New York City with her former spouse Andrew Greenfield.
Ann was a tenacious learner. She received her Bachelors Degree in Russian Studies and Music from Colgate University. Ann then went on to receive three Masters Degrees- an MBA from Fordham University, an MA in International Relations from Columbia University, and an MA in Performing Arts Management from New York University. Over the course of the past two years she was pursuing a fourth Masters Degree from New York University in Hospitality Management.
Ann had a long and prestigious career in publishing and marketing in New York City; beginning at Columbia University Press, Macmillan Publishers, Diefenbach Elkins/McCann, and most recently ten years as Chief Marketing Officer at Eastern Consolidated. She also launched and managed her own independent branding consulting firm, ZeWorks.
She was a lover and avid supporter of the arts and spent many years involved with Shakespeare on the Sound, including several years as Managing Director, in Rowayton, CT; and she attended about every show she could get tickets to in New York City. Her love of the arts was only matched by her love of travel and reading. We will all remember her sitting in her favorite chair, looking out over the water in Rowayton, with a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and her beloved dog Simba.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday July 29th at Darien Community Association at 4pm.
