Dear Pierle and Brode Families,
So sad to hear the news of Terri's passing. My condolences to you all. To add to the celebration of her life.... Terri was my schoolmate, teammate, playmate at St. Mark and Roncalli HS in Indy. My sister, Kathleen and Terri were friends growing up, their elementary school days through college years.
A friend and I were together just last week remembering the good ol days. We exchanged memories of Terri!
Terri and I played kickball, volleyball and were cheerleaders together at St. Mark. I have a great memory of playing volleyball in the gym at the old school on Bluff Road. Terri's cousin, Colleen and her Aunt were our coaches. Memorable was a family of grace and beauty.
I also remember Mrs. Pierle driving us to kickball games and catching a ride from High School in the station wagon, you know the wooden panel, Beaver! THere were usually 5-10 passangers aboard. All happy as can be. Terri shotgun. Mrs. Pierle checking in on us in the rearview. Asking us how we were all doing. There was an admirable ease, calm and openness between Terri and her mom. Lots of giggles and giddy.
Terri came from a good family and I am certain she had a good one out east with youall!!
Sitting in the hs gym for an assembly I recall a boy next to me saying "let's wave to terri". I said, "where, I don't see her?" he said, " are you crazy? she sticks out like a soar thumb!" she did. ANd it sounds like she continued to in her life. She was so smart. shiny! Beautiful! So sorry for your loss.
