Andrea Pane Obituary

Andrea Pane, 94, of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed away surrounded by family. Born in Agerola, Italy in 1930 to a farming family, Andrea farmed the fields with his eight brothers and sisters. On December 5, 1955, he married his beloved wife, Carmela, in Pompeii, Italy, beginning a union that spanned nearly 70 years. Andrea immigrated to America in 1958, where he became a citizen and built a life filled with family, food, and friends. Andrea lived on Hone Avenue in the Bronx, New York for 61 years and missed his neighborhood dearly once he made the move to Connecticut in 2023.

Andrea enjoyed hunting, gardening, making wine, listening to Neapolitan music, creating photographic collages, Cadillac cars, and cheering for his favorite soccer team, Napoli. His deep, booming voice and many hunting stories will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Carmela Pane, his children Maria Piccirilli and Andrew Pane, son-in-law Alfonso Piccirilli, and his grandchildren Juliana Seville, Alessandra Pane, Nicolino Piccirilli, Andrea Pane, Andrew Piccirilli, and Matthew Piccirilli, as well as his great-grandchildren Elena Seville, Camilla Seville, Angelo Piccirilli, Luisa Hermoso, and Lucia Seville. Andrea is also survived by his siblings Raffaele Pane, Luca Pane, Margherita Avitabile, Michela Ianettone, and Carmela Pilny.
