Q: What will you never forget about Anthony?
A: Uncle Tony was a big teddy bear. I’ll never forget all the wonderful family memories, especially around the holidays, that were created together at Nana and Pop’s house on Pershing Avenue. Uncle Tony always had a smile on his face and loved to laugh! I’ll also never forget how much my mother adored him as her brother. But mostly I’ll always remember how much he loved Aunt Geri and his family and how he seemed to be so willing to help anybody in need. The world can use a lot more people like Tony Tomczyk! R.I.P. Uncle Tony.

The thing I remember most about Uncle Tony was how happy he always was. I can't remember seeing him without a smile on his face. He loved being with family more than anything and I have such great memories of visiting with him and Aunt Gerry and our cousins. He will be missed greatly. I know my dad and everyone else he loved welcomed him to heaven with open arms. Rest in Peace Uncle Tony.

So many of my childhood memories include Uncle Tony. I remember seeing his fireman’s hat as a young girl and thinking it was the coolest thing in the world! He was always doing something for someone else - cooking, visiting family, shopping for Nana, taking our kids out on his boat fishing . . . It’s comforting to know he’s with Aunt Gerry, Tommy, Nana and Pop, Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Bob and my dad. I know he missed them a lot! RIP Uncle Tony. Love, Jackie

Uncle Tony was always a big part of my childhood, especially during the years when both our families lived on Colonial Road. All 7 of the cousins would spend a lot of time riding bikes in the driveway and playing in the backyard. One memory that stands out in my mind is a day when we were all playing tag in the driveway. I had turned around to see if anyone was chasing me while I was running. When I turned back around, I ran face first into the back of one of the parked cars. Uncle Tony was the first one there, determined that I needed stitches in my chin, and, because my dad was working, drove Mom and I to the ER. He never hesitated to step in and help, no matter the circumstance. Other memories always involve family, either he and my dad teasing Aunt Marilyn, cooking huge amounts of food to feed a crowd, visiting Nana and Pop, or taking people out on the boat. He and my dad taught us how to find clams with our feet when we were kids, and my own kids remember many rides on his boat when they were young. Uncle Tony gave so much to so many, and we will all miss him.
