How I cherish my memories of Brother Virgil which are well explained in the tribute/obit his family wrote so lovingly. I can picture him sitting at the large kitchen table on Middlesex Road, reading the paper and looking up to say, “Good morning.” I can picture his driving Les and me from airport to home, fearlessly negotiating traffic. I was deeply touched by his determination to keep on keepin’ on when faced with physical limitations and illness. I remember his encouraging Les to do the same when he was fighting glioblastoma. I am grateful for his family, for Jo and their wonderful “kids”. Tomorrow (March 1), I’ll be grateful to be able to watch his memorial service, and thanking God for the love he shared with me.
