Although, John would not remember me, we were 1st. cousins. John's mother and my father were brother and sister. (John Perkins) Sadly, in a way, when families grown up and end up scattered all over the country with little or no contact, other than letters and phone calls back in the day. My only recognition of being around him was in the 1950's. I was in my teens and probably have changed just a little. I am sorry to read about his passing. I wish I could have been around the Hartigan's more because it appears that with his successes he never lost his love of people. I am sure we could have had a few laugh's about our parents from years past.
