Jane G. Dolcetti, a 65 year resident of Darien, Connecticut, passed away at her daughter's home in Norwalk on August 22nd. She was born in New Haven on March 13, 1931, to William Stack Greaney and Helen Dorothy Dunn. Jane grew up in Stamford and went on to graduate from Danbury State Teachers College. She later earned a masters degree in education at Western Connecticut State University. After substitute teaching for many years at King School and throughout Darien, she taught 3rd grade at Royle School in Darien for 25 years.
Jane was a long-time parishioner of St. John's Church in Noroton as well as a volunteer at Stamford Hospital.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Patricia D. Clements of Norwalk and Deborah Kutyreff of Orlando, FL, three grandchildren, Benjamin Clements, Elisabeth Kutyreff, and Margaret Kutyreff, and four great-grandchildren, Alena, Olivia, Noah, and Norah Clements, a sister, Anne E. Yaggi of Stamford, and many friends and family members.
Friends may call at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County.
