Obituary of Ann Chase Lane Marshman

Ann Chase Lane Marshman, a 59-year resident of Darien, died peacefully at home on November 21 at the age of 87.
Mrs. Marshman was born in New Haven on September 21, 1927, the elder daughter of F. Thatcher Lane and Vinetta Pauline Chase Lane. She was educated at the Foote School, Milton Academy, and Vassar College, class of 1949.
On June 25, 1949, she married Donald M. Marshman, who survives her, as do her four children: David (Sue) of Venice, Florida, John (Ann) of Westport, Frances of Somerville, Massachusetts, and George (Sidney) of Darien. She also leaves three granddaughters, two grandsons, and three nephews. Her sister, Sally Thatcher Lane Braman, died in 2011.
There will be a private burial service on Friday, November 28. The family welcomes friends to a noon reception at the Wee Burn Country Club.
