Obituary of Emma Jean Rice

Emma Jean Rice, a long time resident of Norwalk, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2005 at Norwalk Hospital. Born October 20, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Edna Jones. She was 81. Mrs. Rice was an active member of the Norwalk United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, William F. Rice; one son, Kenneth W. Rice and his wife Margaret; three grandchildren, Christina Kantzas Bohrer, Kathleen Watts, and Georgia Kantzas and two great grandchildren, Christopher J. Bohrer and David A. Watts, Jr. all of Norwalk, CT. A son-in-law, Ronald R. Harms also of Norwalk survives. She is predeceased by one daughter, Cheryl Ann Harms in 2004. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 11:00 AM. A private family interment will be held at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
