Allan McKissock, Jr., a longtime resident of the Rowayton section of Norwalk, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2006 in Rowayton. Born March 24, 1911 in Newton, MA, he was the son of the late Allan and Barbara (Sheafe) McKissock. He was 94. Mr. McKissock graduated from Rivers School in Brookline, MA and attended Colgate University. He was head tea buyer form Nabisco Brands. He was a member of the U. S. Board of Tea Experts, a charter member of Preserve the Wetlands, Inc., president of the Saugatuck Valley Audubon Society, a volunteer for FISH of Norwalk and president of the Norwalk Land Trust. He is survived by his wife Harriet A. McKissock of Rowayton; a daughter, Holly M. Sawyer of Malibu, CA and a sister, Barbara M. Schmidlapp of Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY. He is also survived by two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the United Church of Rowayton.
