Obituary of Alan Hyatt, Sr.

Alan “Tuttie” Hyatt, Sr., formerly of Darien and a Norwalk resident, died on Monday, April 17, 2006 in Norwalk. Born June 26, 1940 in Norwalk, he was the son of the late William and Florence Isabel (Perkins) Hyatt. He was 65. Mr. Hyatt worked for Darien Trucking. He was a 40-year volunteer with the Noroton Heights Fire Department and a member of the Piedmont Associates. He is survived by three sons, Alan and Brian Hyatt of Darien and Eric Hyatt of West Paulette, VT; and four grandchildren, Alan, Emily, Reagan and Tristan Hyatt. He is also survived by a brother, Wayne Hyatt of North Carolina; two sisters, Gayle Lezo also of North Carolina and Joan Hagar of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother William Hyatt of Norwalk. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, April 20, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 U.S. Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
