Obituary of Patricia Anne Williams Tauber

Patricia Anne Williams Tauber, of Darien, Connecticut, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Stamford Hospital. Born in 1948 in Jersey City, NJ, to Victor and Mary Connolly Williams, she lived in Waldwick, NJ, where she excelled in school and became the Queen of Waldwick her Junior year. She graduated from Boston College School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1969. Married the same year to Jeffrey Michael Tauber, she had two children, Deborah and Michael. Trish taught Lamaze classes to over 1000 couples in Fairfield and Westchester counties. In 1982, Trish graduated from Yale with a degree in Maternal and Child Health, and achieved board certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife. An advocate of women's rights, she was active in organizations such as the National Organization for Women and the Fairfield County Community Foundation: Fund for Women and Girls. She started her own consulting firm, Corporate Health Seminars, and lectured for various companies on balancing work and family and stress management. She was a medical consultant and trusted advisor. Trish enjoyed traveling extensively with her family and friends around the world and recently found her Irish roots. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, she is survived by her husband, Jeffrey, of Darien, daughter Deborah, son Michael, grandson, Wyatt Singh-Tauber, all of Manhattan, sister Lynn Preston of Seattle, WA, brother Steve Williams of Gaithersburg, MD, and brother Bob Williams of Denver, CO. Services will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien from 11am-2pm on Thursday, June 22. A Celebration of Life (Memorial Service) will be held in late July at the Darien Community Association.
