Obituary of Ethel Pastuszak

Ethel Pastuszak, a lifelong resident of Darien, passed away on Friday July 17th at Wilton Meadows, Wilton, CT. She was born August 31, 1920 in Darien to the late William and Lillian Dance. Ethel attended Darien schools and lived in Darien most of her life. In 1950 she and her husband Bill moved into the house Bill built to raise their family. As a senior, she enjoyed going to the Darien Senior Center and crocheting many afghans giving them out as gifts. Ethel is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, William Pastuszak. She is also predeceased by her brothers Malcolm, Chauncey, Art, Kenneth, Edward and Jim Dance, a sister Dorothy Forster and a grandson Kevin McManus. She is survived by her daughter Louise McManus and her husband Hugh of Norwalk, sons Dr. William Pastuszak and his wife Judy Park of Cromwell and Bruce Pastuszak of Danbury, and granddaughters Debbie McManus of Wilton, Erin Johannesen and her husband Craig of Trumbull and her great grandchildren Owen and Harper Johannesen. There will be no calling hours. There will be a private family burial at Fairfield Memorial Park.
