Obituary of William C. Miller, Jr.

William C. Miller, a long-time Greenwich resident, died on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. Born on March 6, 1923, he was the son of the late William C. Miller and Muriel J. Miller. He was a Dentist for 40 years in New York City after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. He was in the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he rose to the rank of Captain. His love of the outdoors, beekeeping, sports and his home in Dorset, VT was well known. William belonged to many environmental organizations and enjoyed corresponding with their leaders and also in writing to the media. He is survived by his wife Dulce Miller, a daughter, Leonor Sanchez and a sister, June Miller Wensley of E. Longmeadow, MA and five nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Donald Miller of Darien. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM at Dingletown Community Church, 376 Stanwich Road, Greenwich.
