Obituary of Martin P. Laslo, Jr.

Martin P. Laslo, Jr., a long time resident of Darien and a former Stamford resident, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born February 6, 1916 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Martin and Theresa Laslo. He was 90 years of age. Mr. Laslo was a life long member of St. Benedict’s Church in Stamford. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Matlak Laslo in 2006; two brothers, Stephen and John Laslo; and two sisters, Rose Demino and Margaret Papsun. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict R.C. Church, 1 St. Benedict Circle, Stamford, CT on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
