Obituary of Triestina Marie Bruno Sniffen

Triestina Marie (Tessie - NuNu) Bruno Sniffen, a life-long resident of Darien, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan, CT. Born September 20, 1923 in Darien, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose Conti Bruno. Tessie was a parishioner of St. John R. C. Church in Darien. She was the heart of the family, a wonderful loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her three children, Rosemarie Hyatt, Patricia Ann Picard (Maurice) and Thomas Sniffen (Brenda). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alan Hyatt (Laura), Brian Hyatt (Melissa), Eric Hyatt (Melissa), Daina Donohue (Troy), Kara Rissolo, Vincent Rissolo (Kim), Megan Morreale (Ken) and TJ Sniffen. Tessie was most fortunate to have 17 great grandchildren, Alan, Emily, Reagan, Tristen, Alex, Finley, Sam, Paige, Fiona, Aiden, Rylee, Addison, Gavin, Zoie, Chloe, Ryan and Griffen. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Fraccola. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years Thomas Sniffen who passed away June 4, 1984. She was also predeceased by seven siblings, Augustus Bruno, Benjamin Bruno, Joseph Bruno, Lizzy Journalist, Josephine Lombardo, Chiva Penna and Dolly Papp. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119Post Road, Darien on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
