Obituary of John V. Adams Jr.

John "Jack" Adams, a long time Norwalk resident passed away on Sunday August 18, 2013 at Norwalk hospital. Born December 7, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Aurise (Drolet) Adams. Jack's father was the head of the industrial arts program at NYU where Jack attended. He worked at Clairol for 36 years as a Senior Chemist and received the President's achievement award. He was an avid runner, running in two marathons, and loved to read. Jack also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife Helen of Norwalk, two sons; Christopher and his wife Margaret of Middletown NY, and John of Brooklyn NY. Jack is also survived by his daughter Christina Askenback, and her husband Aaron of New haven CT; three grandchildren Derek, Brittany, and Kristen, and was predeceased by one sister Maxine Peluso. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday August 23, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Jerome RC Church, 23 Half Mile Road, in Norwalk CT, Interment will be private.
