Obituary of Leonard "Lenny" A. Pace, Jr.

Leonard "Lenny" A. Pace, Jr. a life-long resident of Darien, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven. Born on March 30, 1942 in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Leonard Angelo Pace, Sr. and Rose Marie Riolo Pace. He was 71. Lenny was an employee of the Town of Darien for 30 years. He was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church. He was an avid reader, an enthusiastic camper and enjoyed music especially playing his guitar. He was a loving father, husband, brother and adored his precious granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Margaret Duffy Pace of Darien, three children, David Pace of Dracut, MA; Barbara Slavinsky and her husband, Paul, of Stamford; and Melanie Pace of Darien. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Brittany; and a brother Angelo Pace of Darien. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
