Obituary of Isabel Foley

Isabel Foley was born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania. As a young woman she worked for York Borg Warner where she met Cliff, the love of her life. Shortly after marrying, they moved to Darien, CT where they resided for nearly 50 years. Isabel was known for her love of the Lord and His Word. She taught several Bible studies, Sunday School classes, and led a children's Bible club known as "Bible Brownies". Isabel was a gifted musician and artist. She was the church pianist, and taught many young people to play the piano. She designed numerous sets for church Christmas and East programs. Isabel's family was the crown jewel of her life. Isabel was predeceased by her husband, Clifford P. Foley, and brother, David A. Irvin. She leaves behind her daughter, Carol Smith; son-in-law, Paul Smith; her beloved grandson, Peter Smith and his wife, Kasie; four great-grandchildren, Darby, Cole, Mollie and Caroline; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow at Mountain Grove of Easton in Easton, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Heritage School, 575 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611, and earmarked for the school library.
