Obituary of Jane Dunigan Warr

Jane D. Warr, a long time resident of Darien passed away July 19, 2011 at Edgehill in Stamford, CT at the age of 102. Jane was born on January 15, 1909 in Woodbridge, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Maurice P. Dunigan and Jane Gerity Dunigan. Jane graduated from Sargent College, now a part of Boston University and taught in the Woodbridge Public Schools. She was married over fifty years to Walter C. (Bill) Warr who pre-deceased her. Both Jane and Bill were avid golfers and belonged to the Country Club of Darien. Jane is survived by many nieces and nephews including Bernard F. Dunigan, Jr. of Auburn, CA; William B. Dunigan of Madison, CT; John A. Van Loan of Newburyport, MA; Thomas M. and William R. Van Loan of Darien, CT. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Bernard, Maurice, and John and her sisters Marie Desmond and Julia Van Loan. A memorial mass will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas More Church, 374 Middlesex Rd., Darien, CT 06820.
