My sincere condolences to the family. May his soul rest in peace. Dr. King was my mentor and work father for 20 years at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He taught me everything I needed to succeed in the field of Echocardiography. I was his research assistant and later associate while he conducted his 3D Echo reserarch. We remained friends after his retirement from Columbia University and talked often. He attended my wedding and my daughter's graduation party and was there for me on multiple important life occasions. I last hefrom him on December 27, 2018. He wrote me a note informing me of his condition and said goodbye. I am fortunate to have known him as a student, mentee, associate and work daughter. I will miss him as long as I live.

May peace be on your sacred soul, Dr. King! In 1973 as a "Fresh Out of Residency" doctor in Radiology I learned a lot from Dr. King's textbook of Ultrasound, the only one available at that time. I introduced Diagnostic Ultrasound in our practice in Cleveland, Ohio, thanks to Dr. King's wisdom which I obtained through the textbook. Thank you!!
