Obituary of Clare A. Harding

Please share a memory of Clare to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clare Harding died on February 8, 2019 in Stamford, Connecticut. Born in West Warwick, Rhode Island on September 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Simone (Vadeboncoeur) and Lionel Brodeur. Clare devoted her life to teaching and counseling adolescents in New York, Maryland, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Throughout her 50-year career in education - whether serving as a teacher, guidance counselor or volunteer - she touched and impacted the lives of many. She was a lover of movies, theatre, books, and music and found great joy in playing her piano. She had an incredibly active and full social calendar, believing life was meant to be lived with a positive attitude and cherishing time celebrated with family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 36 years, Judd, in 2008. Clare is survived by two brothers: Ernest Brodeur of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Martin Brodeur of Fairfield, Iowa and one sister: Constance OConnor of Pawcatuck, Connecticut along with several nieces and nephews and dearest friends. She will be deeply missed. At her request services and internment were private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please consider honoring her with a donation to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, a cause she highly supported. Funeral Home: Edward Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Road Darien, CT USA 06820
