Tracy, David, James and family, Saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved Dad. I knew him during my 11 years with the Piedmont Club, mens night dinners at the Knights of Columbus and annually at Stations of the Cross with Fr Joe at St Patrick Church in Redding.. Always a gentleman and good company whenever we got together. May he rest in peace. I am praying for him and for you as you mourn your loss.

I had the honor and privilege to know Bunny when I first joined the Darien Fire Department back in 1986. He was a great man and we had many talks and he gave me great and solid advice over the years. He was just a great man which makes it hard to put into words and the loss so much greater. I will miss the times we shared, but will cherish the memories. While he is gone, Heaven just got a little better. God Speed and God Bless

To the Eldredge and Reilly Families: Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with you all. My husband Russell is a member of the Noroton Fire Department. I met Bob at a NFD function. He was such a gracious, kind and inviting person. He made me feel so welcomed that evening. He was tending bar, as he often did for these function, I ordered a fuzzy navel and well that became our little "thing". He sometimes even called me fuzzy navel. He was a dear, sweet man that I had great and fun conversations with. I will miss him dearly and was honored to have the great pleasure of knowing Bob.

I had the distinct honor of knowing Bob some 50 years. He was a quiet, humble and unassuming Christian gentleman. I found him to be upbeat, smiling and a kind word for everyone he came into contact with. If there were more people in the world like Bob it would be a much better world. I came to know Bob when he was a Special Darien Police Officer we became friends at that time and I considered him as a person I was glad I knew. It was with great sadness I learned of his passing. To his grieving family I offer my most profound and personal deepest sympathy. You will not see in your daily lives- but he lives on in your hearts and will always be there forever and ever. God Bless him and his family. Sincere Sympathy -John SHMANDA Darien Police (retired)
