Obituary of Caroline T. Gilbert

Caroline T. Gilbert, 85, passed away on January 13, 2018. She was born in Worcester, MA, January 14, 1932, the daughter of Phillip and Alberta Millay. After her marriage in 1950, she lived in Northboro, MA, Norwalk, CT, Cleveland, Ohio, Yarmouthport, MA, and Fairfield, CT. She was a Librarian in the Norwalk school system for 18 years, a Board member at the Norwalk YMCA, and a Deacon and active volunteer at her churches in Norwalk and Cape Cod. She loved gardening, nature, travel, quilting, arts and crafts, baking, and supporting various charities, but most of all, cherished time with her family. Caroline will be greatly missed by her husband Ray Gilbert Jr, children, Marilyn Lawrence, Ray Gilbert III and wife Dolores, Rick Gilbert and wife Ronnie; grandchildren, Abby Keough and husband Kevin, Sean Gilbert and fianc Megan Cronin, Michelle Stuurop and husband Tom, and Chris Gilbert; great-grandchildren Garrett and Travis Stuurop; and brother Phil Millay. She was predeceased by her sisters Barbara Gallagher and Charlotte Cahoon. Funeral and internment will be private.
