Pamela James, age 85 of Darien, Connecticut passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. She was born on June 29, 1932 in Bristol, England and was the daughter of John and Ellen May Shopland. Pamela is predeceased by son, John Oliver James; and a brother Graham Shopland. Pamela is survived by her loving son Paul James and his wife Jane of Stamford. Four adoring grandchildren; Melissa Warga and her husband Andrew of Darien, Scott James of Stamford, Brian James and his wife Momoko of Yokosuka, Japan and Theodore James of Pennsylvania, and as well as three great-grandchildren, Emma, Isabella and James Warga of Darien. Many loving nieces and nephews from across the pond in Bristol, England. Pamela had a passion for gardening, golf, pool and music. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren have fond memories of their Nana teaching them how to play pool, cribbage and pingpong. She was always an active positive role model to them. Pamela had a host of friends who adored her and enjoyed her energy even at 85. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends. The family has entrusted a memorial service to Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
