Dear Zanato Family, I am so sorry to hear of the sad news of the passing of Barb! We have 6 sons that have attended Grafflin - our youngest, our twins are there now. Barb was always so cheerful, friendly and funny - always looked forward to seeing her happy smile when we came into her office. It won't be the same without her. Tracy, I have heard about your wonderful boys over the years - one of the boys looked like Opie, she would tell me and she showed a photo - he really did! She adored you all and was so proud of what wonderful boys you have. She said how they are really good, nice people. She so thoughtfully, gave me a book about moving a cottage when I moved one in town and I always think of her when I see it on our bookshelf. We are thinking of you all with love and sympathy. To the Zanato Family, Barbara was more than our neighbor on Devoe Road or a the first person to see at Graflin! She was our problem solver and a ray of sunshine for all the Kaplows that entered her office! We will miss her and her wonderful smile! Dear Scott and Tracy and the Zanato family... As we gathered with a few friends to greet the arrival of 2018, we received word of Barbara's passing. The news prompted a moment of silent reflection followed by a recollection of the many intersections we had with Barbara and Ed during the 20 years we were all actively involved with Pace University. Though time and circumstance required each of us to take different paths, the wonderful memories we have of Barbara and Ed and the legacy of friendship and support they left to the many they served through their respective contributions to the education and development of future generations can only gain even more meaning over time. Barbara was simply a wonderful and caring person. She was a person of strength in the most loving way--for her family, the memory of her beloved Ed, and for her many friends and acquaintances. We are fortunate and grateful to have known Barbara. Our thoughts and prayers are, and will always be, with her. Peace and love, Pattie and Joe Pastore
