May was one of my special people at 60+ and the senior center. She always had a smile and a twinkle in her eye for me. I will miss her very much. Prayers to all her family. Jane

Jan, Phil, Ed, & Tom, Aunt May was indeed a treasured member of our family as well as part of the Great WWII Victory Garden Generation. She was, as Diane wrote earlier, our second mother who along with Uncle Jim hosted us frequently at your home and made us kids feel valued as part of the Lechak extended family. Have pleasant memories of the overnighters, family reunions, day trips, barbecues, and Fire Department activities that were significant while growing up along with Uncle Jims culinary talents. Some memories include riding my one-speed Schwinn bicycle as a young child to your home on Allen ONeil Drive during sunny October Saturday afternoons for activities such as climbing the big tree and jumping in the leaves in the circle along with football games on the "Greens" with the cousins and neighborhood kids, then having snacks that Aunt May provided. There was one time I had a big dust particle lodged in my left eye during the Autumn leaf jumping, but Aunt May expertly removed it by lifting up the eyelid by the lash and gently wiping the dust particle away with a wet cloth. It was always a good feeling coming home on leave while in the Navy and being welcome back by your parents as I walked up the driveway with sea bag at the Leroy Avenue family homestead. Lastly, will always cherish the conversations we had when I last seen her in the Summer of 2000 during Dads Celebration of Life as well as the gracious hospitality she extended to all who attended. With love and warm regards,
P

Aunt May was our "other mother". She was genuine; a kind and gentle woman who nurtured and put others first. I believe that because she loved so well in life, there were many loved ones waiting to greet her when she crossed over. Love and deepest sympathy, Diane

To Jan, Phil, Tom, and Ed - Aunt May was a loving, sweet, and gentle person and one of my family favourites. I am so sorry we didn't have her for a while longer, but celebrate that she was part of our lives. One of my favourite memories is of your parents at their wedding reception. I was only about 3, but remember vividly 'dancing' with them, holding on to her dress and his trouser leg! Aunt May always had time for us. My only regret is that I ended up living so far away from her, so visits were few and far between. Bill and I send love to you and yours and shall be thinking of you as this week unfolds. With love, Your cousin Donna and family
