Obituary of Elizabeth A. Slinsky

Elizabeth A. Slinsky, a 46 year resident of Darien, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in Darien. Born February 8, 1941 in Greenwich, CT, she was the daughter of the late James and Nellie Arnott. She was 73. Elizabeth graduated from Stamford High School Class of 1958. She worked at Stamford Hospital for 21 years as an Image Service Librarian. Elizabeth was a former owner of Stamford Auto Mart and A Tin Lizzy Car Rentals. She was a parishioner at St. John R.C. Church in Darien. She had a love of gardening and crocheting Elizabeth is survived by her husband, William J. Slinsky, Sr. She was predeceased by her son, William J. Slinsky, Jr. and two brothers and three sisters. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Lisa Slinsky of Waterbury, CT; two grandsons, Alan and Zachary; two great granddaughters; her sister Patricia Haas of California; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Richard Slinsky and his wife, Kathy, of Darien also survive. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien.
