Romeo Melfi, a long time resident of Darien, CT, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Stamford Hospital. He was 98 years old. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 AM at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Convent of St. Birgitta, 4 Runkenhage Road, Darien, CT 06820.
