Mrs. Forster had the single, most defining impact on my growth as a student at LHT: She taught me how to speak in public; She instilled in me the importance of communicating and in knowing your audience; And, most importantly, she developed and nurtured my confidence above and beyond what was probably acceptable for the times. All of these experiences and traits became invaluable to me as an adult, both professionally and personally, as a I went on to have a successful career as an attorney, and a successful and happy family and home life. I have always been confident that my successes were due, in some key part, to Mrs. Forster's teaching and mentoring during many of my formative years. In the words of Thomas Wolfe: " I did not give in because he would not let me give in." And, that is what Mrs. Forster did for me. God Bless her long life, all those she did similar for, and the fortunate in Heaven who now get to share her. - Leslie (McDermott) Phillips
