She attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia, graduating with the distinction of May Queen, awarded for her endearing personality and respected presence among the student body. In 1942, she married John Langdon Frothingham of Philadelphia, Pa. Together, they resided in Birmingham, Sewickley, Pa., and New Canaan. She was a member of the Junior League in Birmingham, National Colonial Dames of America, the New Canaan Country Club, and the Nantucket Yacht Club. In addition, she was active in the New Canaan Sewing Group and St. Audrey's Guild. She enjoyed the camaraderie and services of her membership in Staying Put in New Canaan. As an artist she was inspired by her summers in Nantucket. As a member of the Artist Association of Nantucket, she displayed her watercolors in galleries both there and in New Canaan. She is survived by her two siblings Anne Brannan Heroy and Henry G. Seibels Jr. and her four children, Anne Cross, John Frothingham, Laetitia Mead, Caesara Wendin, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 2006 and her brother Howard Kelly Seibels in 2013. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Mark's Episcopal Church of New Canaan. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Saturday, January 10th at 11 o'clock. Funeral Home: Edward Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Road Darien, CT USA 06820
