Thank you, Rick, for being such an incredible person. Thank you for believing in me, as a future investment analyst, when you interviewed me and asked me all the tough questions and I nearly failed it, but you believed in me. Thank you for all the jokes, smiles, laughter, teasing, stories, and discussions. Thank you for being so open, straight forward and accepting. Thank you for your passion and conviction when debating an issue that you believed in and the ease of accepting the moment when you were not right. Thank you for helping me understand the values that really matter. Thank you.

Dear Kelly,Danny and Robbie: Your Dad was a wonderful and beautiful man. In his personal and professional lives, he was an exemplary leader and person of great warmth, humor and above all friendship. He was the first person I got to "boss around" as I was in my first management role at Maunfacturers Hanover. As you well know, your Dad was a man of his word, of great character. There was nothing he could not do when asked, and I often have used him as an example of what makes a team great. He was a trusted "go to" person for anything, even under the most difficult circumstances. Your Dad will be sorely missed. Please remember his Spirit will always be there as a guiding light, and inspiration. The Ferrara Family

Kelly, Danny, Robbie, the world is a poorer place without Rick in it. I know he meant everything to you. But know also that his life mattered to so many in the community. We are deeply saddened, but celebrate all that he was and all that he gave. Thank you dearly for sharing him with us. Rarely does one get the chance to know and work with someone who is so giving and so gifted. My son Max is a much better player and especially a better person for having had Rick's life touch his. As coach, mentor, and appreciative parent, he taught me much about working with kids. These are life lessons I'll never forget, and I will continue to honor his memory by passing them on to others. We grieve with you and are here for you all, whatever you may need.

I will miss Rick immensely. He was such a great, caring, involved man to have graced our community. As my son's baseball coach for the last two summers, I knew my son would learn something about the game--and life--every time we came in contact with Rick. Not a game went by where Rick didn't kneel down and look each of his players in the eye to tell them something encouraging and useful. I watched him as he did this to my son, and I felt so lucky that we were in his presence. The time he put into being with his two boys was no doubt so beneficial that they will be blessed by having him as a father, no matter how early he was taken from them. Life is not fair, but then again, having Rick in our lives was not fair to all the others who never knew him. Kelly, anything I can do to help out you and Robby, please let me know.
