Obituary of Karen A. Murphy

Karen A. Murphy January 13, 2015 Karen A. Murphy, 64, of Stamford, CT died Tuesday after a brief illness. Born in Scranton, PA., daughter of the late Judge Edward M. Murphy and Mary Kilcullen Murphy, she was a graduate of Syracuse University, Northeastern University, and of Temple Law School. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the N.Y. State Bar Association. Surviving are twin sister Kathleen Murphy, Greenwich Town Treasurer, Stamford, CT; brother Atty. Edward M. Murphy II, and sister-in-law Patricia Murphy, Mission Viejo, California; and cousins. The funeral will be Monday January 19th from the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT., with Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Stamford. Interment, St Patrick's Cemetery, Olyphant, PA.
