Obituary of Joseph F. Lesko

Joseph F. Lesko, a 60 year resident of Darien, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born February 3, 1918 and raised in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Joseph Lesko and Katherine Szabo Lesko. He was 87. Mr. Lesko served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was owner and operator of Lesko’s Cleaners in Darien for many years. He was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church in Darien. He is survived by his wife Agnes Quirk Lesko of Darien; one daughter, Barbara Lesko of Cos Cob, CT and one son, William Lesko of New Brunswick, Canada. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is predeceased by one brother, Andrew Lesko and three sisters, Anna Gallo, Helen Pollak and Elizabeth Puskas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center, c/o Stamford Health Foundation, P. O.
