Obituary of Susan Moore Murphy

Susan Moore Murphy, a resident of Trumbull, CT and a former longtime resident of Darien, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 in Trumbull. Born on March 3, 1939 in Hollywood, CA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Frank Moore and Margaret Bussey Myers. She was 75. Susan graduated from Darien High School. She was the former owner of the Margo Moore store in Darien and also worked for William H. Parr & Company also in Darien. She is survived by her two daughters, Paige Jordan and her husband William of Monroe, CT and Jackie Maxwell and her husband Walter of Trumbull, CT; and two grandchildren, Will Jordan and Carly Jordan both of Monroe. Susan is also survived by a sister, Marcy van der Kieft and her husband Peter of Camden, ME. She was predeceased by one daughter, Lisa Murphy. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
