Obituary of Maria Bannon

Maria Bannon, age 82, of Rowayton, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Olevano Romano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Salvitore and Rosa Salvaticchio.
After marrying her husband John T. Bannon in Italy, she emigrated to the U.S. in 1957 and became a naturalized citizen in 1972.
She is survived by one daughter Catherine Bannon of Rowayton and one son Leo Bannon of Boulder, CO. She is also survived by a sister Giuseppa Salvaticchio of Italy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Franco and sister Giulia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John R. C. Cemetery in Norwalk. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com
