Obituary of Margaret Cherry Nizlek

Margaret Cherry Nizlek, age 95, died in Greenwich, CT on Monday, January 30, 2012. Born in Bridgeport, CT to John T. and Elizabeth Schwappach Cherry, Margaret worked in the Gas and Electric Company in Stamford and later in the Greenwich Library until retirement.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and William Lindstrum of Greenwich and three sons: Martin C. Nizlek and wife, Sandra Rice, M.D. of Bellevue, WA; John Nizlek, Jr. and wife Diane, of Danbury, CT; and Robert A. Nizlek, V.M.D. of Riverside, CT.
Maggie's grandchildren include Jeff and wife, Naomi, Nizlek; Julie and husband, Patrick, Lanigan, April, Ross and Laura Nizlek , and great granddaughter, Riley Hayes Lanigan.
Her younger siblings include: Catherine Hoyt Frederick, Jane Cherry Eccles both of Stamford, CT and John J. Cherry and wife, Theresa, of Vero Beach, FL.
A family Mass will be held at the Chapel at St. Catherine of Siena, Riverside, CT on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. John Cemetery in Springdale, CT will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Nathaniel Witherell Patient Trust Fund, 70 Parsonage Road, Greenwich, CT 06830 or a charity of your choice.
