Obituary of Marie A. Simmons

Marie A. Simmons, a life long resident of Darien, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born September 21, 1924 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Rose (Montannero) Benedetto. She was 81.
Mrs. Simmons worked at Life Study Fellowship in Darien and was a long time member of St. John R.C. Church.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Simmons of Lunenburg, MA and Paul Simmons of Hollywood, CA and two daughters, Sandy Ambruso of Redwood City, CA and Karen M. Simmons of Darien, CT. She is predeceased by one son, Glenn Simmons.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Sunday, January 29, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
