Obituary of Matthew Kovacs

Matthew Kovacs, a life long resident of Darien, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Stamford Hospital. Born on March 18, 1983 in Stamford, he was the son of Stephen Kovacs of Darien and the late Barbara Ann Matthys Kovacs. He was 28 and a graduate of Darien High School.
Besides his father, he is survived by a brother, Stephen Kovacs, Jr.; a sister, Jennifer Strada; a nephew, Joseph Strada and a niece, Ava Strada all of Darien. He is also survived by a grandmother, Georgiann Mattys also of Darien. He was predeceased by his grandparents Robert Matthys and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kovacs.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private.
