Michael W. Cunningham, a resident of Darien, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born January 24, 1931 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary Ann Cunningham. He was 75. Mr. Cunningham received a B.A. degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY and a J.D. from Syracuse University. He was a 15-year employee of Xerox and retired as Vice President of Purchasing from Western Union. He then went back to school at N.Y.U. to get his M.F.A. and worked as a decorative arts appraiser. Michael is survived by his wife, Marta of Darien and one daughter, Alexandra Cunningham of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by one brother, Patrick J. Cunningham of Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, March 13, 2006 at St. John R.C. Church. Burial took place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers, any contributions should be sent to LeMoyne College, 1419 Salt Spring Road, Syracuse, NY 13214. The Edward Lawrence Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
